WHERE CREATIVITY BEGINS

The key to success when being creative or productive in any discipline is to find the right space for you. For C.V. Lalonde it is by a large window with the ability to see people moving about their lives. It helps feel connected to world around her. Here are some tips that could help:

Think about how light, noise, foot traffic impact your productivity and plan ahead of time.

Journaling is a great way to record your progress. Make sure to include both things that are good for your productivity, but also elements that slow you done. Doing this will you to know at a glad what to valid that is slowing you down and what to keep near.

It is easy to look at a project that is taking a lot of time and say it is not worth picking up again. You know, we know, everyone knows that is not true. Trust in yourself and keep at it.
If you can make it a habit to work on it everyday, even for a brief moment. You will win.

Meet The Author / Illustrator

C.V. Lalonde

C.V. Lalonde was born legally blind and raised in Southern Ontario’s SD&G region. After undergoing three corrective eye surgeries by the age of eight, her love for storytelling and the arts blossomed. She attended a vocational high school, focusing on Arts and Computer Science, where she also worked as an assistant curator at a local art gallery and set designer for the community’s Art Space.

She pursued higher education in Graphic Design Production at Georgian College, followed by Animation and Advanced Multimedia at Algonquin College. Her creative skills led to a fulfilling career at the Museum of Canada as a UX designer, then as a fine arts teacher, graphic designer and fresco artist. After years in the visual arts world, C.V. funneled her storytelling passion into writing, creating The Journaled Adventures series—a project aimed at helping children navigate social challenges through the power of family, community and the love for the world around them.

C.V. continues to live in her hometown with two pets Marbles and Tootsie.
